Wedding Place Cards Template

Type guest names and table numbers, pick a palette, and print elegant place cards eight to a page with cut guides — right from your browser. Names never uploaded.

Fill in — the cards update live

Private by construction. The cards are assembled by this page's JavaScript as you type. Guest names never leave your machine, and the page keeps working with the network unplugged. Printing uses your browser's own print dialog — choose "Save as PDF" there to get a file.

Place cards are a mail-merge problem wearing a bow tie: the same little card, a hundred names. Paste the list once — Name: table, one per line, straight out of your seating chart — and this page lays them out eight to a sheet with dashed cut guides, in whichever of the five palettes matches the wedding. Print on cardstock at 100% scale, cut on the lines, done. The Etsy version of this costs money and still makes you type every name into someone's server; this one is free and the names never leave your browser.

Questions this template gets asked

How do I make place cards for every guest quickly?

Paste your guest list one per line as 'Name: table' - straight from a seating chart or spreadsheet column - and the cards build themselves, eight per page with dashed cut guides. A 120-guest wedding is 15 printed pages and one evening with a paper cutter.

What paper should I print place cards on?

Cardstock, 65-110 lb - regular paper won't stand or sit flat on linen. Print at 100% scale (not 'fit to page') so every card comes out the same size, and cut along the dashed guides.

Can the cards match my wedding colors?

Pick from five palettes - classic black, sage, blush, navy and gold, terracotta - and the name and table styling recolor to match. The palette prints exactly as previewed.

Place cards or escort cards - which are these?

These work as either. Escort cards (name + table number, displayed at the entrance) are exactly what the template produces; for place cards at each seat, simply leave the table number off by writing the name with no colon.

Are the guest names uploaded?

No - the cards are assembled by this page's JavaScript in your browser and printed through your browser's own dialog. Your guest list never leaves your machine.
