How do I decide who sits together?
Sort guests into groups before touching tables: family sides, college friends, coworkers. Fill tables from those groups, keep couples together, and seat guests who know nobody next to your most sociable friends. The chart is cheap to redo here, so iterate.
How many guests fit at a table?
A 60-inch round table seats 8 comfortably and 10 at a squeeze; rectangular banquet tables seat 3-4 per side. If a table line in this template gets past 10 names, it is telling you to split the table.
Can I print this poster-sized?
The page prints at Letter or A4 from your browser. For the classic poster at the reception entrance, choose Save as PDF in the print dialog and ask any print shop to scale the PDF to 18×24 or 24×36 - it is vector text, so it stays sharp at any size.
Should the chart list guests by table or alphabetically?
By table (what this template produces) works for up to roughly 150 guests. Beyond that, guests hunt for their name too long - switch to an alphabetical list that maps name to table number.
Is this seating chart template free, with no sign-up or watermark?
